Requirements specific to Nurses in Mississippi

  • Mississippi nurses are not yet required to complete CE hours to renew a license, unless the nurse has not practiced in the last 5 years. In this case, there are 20 hours of CE required to reinstate one's license.
  • APRNs must complete 40 hours of CE in Pharmacology, 2 hours of which must cover Safe and Effective Prescription of Controlled Substances

The next renewal period for LPN licenses ends December 31, 2019
